For Sarah, the best thing about being part of the global water community is the passion and commitment of the people she meets.
Sarah joined BlueTech Research in 2015 and is the company’s Meetings & Events Manager.
She is responsible for the organisation of the annual BlueTech Forum and the innovation pavilions BlueTech runs at external events like WEFTEC and Aquatech. She also works closely with company chief executive Paul O’Callaghan as his executive assistant, managing a very busy schedule.
Sarah oversees events marketing and helps plan and deliver the virtual roundtables where industrial and utility end-users meet for facilitated peer-to-peer learning. She liaises closely with the inspirational keynote speakers invited to address BlueTech’s community and coordinates the monthly Analysts Briefing that goes out to members.
Sarah was new to water when she first joined BlueTech but has grown to be deeply passionate and interested in the subject. Previously she had no idea of the critical nature of the resource or the complexity of delivering infrastructure, technology and services and looks forward to learning even more.
To date, the highlight of Sarah’s time at BlueTech was walking the blue carpet at the Hollywood launch of Brave Blue World in Los Angeles. She worked as Production Assistant on the award-winning documentary project.
Sarah has a marketing diplomas from University College Cork (UCC) and the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing. She also has a bachelor of arts degree in history & sociology from UCC. Previously she worked in marketing in London, UK, for companies in recruitment, finance and media.
When not out hiking in the Galtee Mountains near her home in Tipperary, Ireland, Sarah likes to experiment with cooking, especially especially Asian and Mexican cuisine.
